I have watched this forum for years as a visitor and have really enjoyed it, I am looking into beginning some longer range hunting for deer as well as elk our in the Midwest. Besides that I like to chaise rabbit trails, so I am going to get back on topic. We purchased a Bad Boy Buggy in late 2015 and it has given us so many issues. I will not go into detail as I understand that today's libel laws can cause forums to be very careful in what they allow. The dealer says that the company is responsible for giving us a refund because they can't get it fixed right. When we contacted the company, they said that it is the dealers responsibility to give us a refund. I was wondering what yall's opinions were of my situation. If you would like for me to tell you the details just shoot me a PM.
Thanks, 10 Ringer

Absolutely hate this. My brother and I both have 2005 models. I guess we have been lucky. Neither machine has been much trouble. Yours is one of the new ones built by EZ-GO. You would think they would stand behind their equipment. What's the stated warranty? Is yours the electric and gas model. What did EZ- GO say when you contacted them? I do not think you have talked to the right person at EZ-GO.

Yes, it's the hybrid. They said bring it to us and we will fix it, being ignorant to the fact that we have taken it to get fixed and it hasn't been. We have talked to everyone from their Lawyer, The better business bureau, VP, President, product manager and warranty manger as well. Who else could we talk to? Just throwing out there that bad boy is manufacturing New Holland's up and coming UTV. Nothing against new holland( i own a tractor).

Picked up a new Honda Pioneer 500 last fall....it's been great. Almost as much fun to customize as a good rifle. Saved about 4 hours per day on my last elk hunt.

Can't beat a Honda with a stick. Wish we could have gotten one but our club is 3,000 hilly acres of electric only.

It's not Bad Boy. It's EZ-GO in Fort Worth, Texas. They bought Bad Boy and redesigned it. You have contacted them? Where are you? What dealer are you trying to work through? You have exhausted all these avenues? What conditions are you using this vehicle in? Commercial use? How long is the warranty? Wonder what the state lemon laws are? Mine is considered a low speed vehicle. Therefore, it might fall under the state lemon law.

That really sucks sounds like time to get your own lawyer and file. The. Go get a Polaris rzr. They all have some problems but when 93% of the aftermarket is for one brand it's easy to find better parts to replace broken ones.

These are not designed to go wide open jumping the whoops, deep mud,and extreme rocks and sand. Sounds like your kids have been having a blast without you knowing. Like snox said get you a razor for that. The Bad Boy will ease you around QUIETLY trough mild 4x4 terrain. EZ-GO did not do a very good job in design. They just took their electric cart and put it up front. Then put their gas cart in the back. Heavy design without beefing them up. Plus they did not cover the belt driven rear drive. Not good for a 4x4. If your not happy trade it on one of the older models and keep the kids off of it. Or sell it while it is still in warranty and check out the Polaris electric. Or check out the lemon laws. Good luck.

UPDATE: After we took it to the factory, they still didn't get everything fixed. When going from forward to reverse in gas, it wants to continue going backward after changing it to forwards then it goes out of reverse and grinds gears then decides to go into forward. When using it in electric it just stops working if you try to turn around or go forward then backward. Me and a buddy went to go check trail cams and turned around in a food plot and we had to turn the key on and off for 5 or 10 minutes till it ever decided to work. Late November, my dad was driving it along one of our firebreak roads and as he started to go down a slight hill the brakes failed and he couldn't steer it either. He centered about a 6" tree and the whole front end is messed up now. It left a nasty bruise on his leg as well as a pretty bad cut on his leg when he crashed.

Hate it for you and your dad. Sad that Textron can not get their act together. Good luck with whatever road you take. Thanks for the heads up. I won't be up grading.

Dang man with all of the trouble you've had with that thing, why not just get rid of the thing? Sure you're going to take a beating on it but life is too short to deal with that much hassle. Just get a Pioneer or something and be done with it.

No regrets on my pioneer 500.

Yep Honda builds great machines. My hunting buddy has a pioneer and loves it. I've got a couple of their 4 wheelers that have been outstanding. Bought one of them new in '87 and it's still going strong and other than maintenance items, the only thing I've replaced is the starter. It hasn't been babied either.
