Muzzleloader advice

Hello
I am looking for some advice on purchasing a muzzleloader. My budget is $500 or so. Looking for something that I could use for hunting in Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Deer. Muzzleloader season.

CVA makes some great and affordable rifles. Make sure you check each states rules.

Find a Lyman Great Plains rifle with a roundball twist. Go forth and fill an ark. No sure about laws in Arkansas, OK, or Texas. This gun would check all the boxes for CO.

Or find a good used T/C Renegade in 54 caliber. Outfit it with a good peep sight and go to killing stuff.
