How much does it usually cost to have a threaded muzzle brake installed?

not too much. check out Jim See's (www.centershotrifles.com) and Kevin Cram's (www.mcrifles.com) web sites. I believe they have their prices listed.

I get $125.00 labor and whatever the brake costs. If it's a brake that has to be clocked to a certain position then I add $25.00 as it takes longer to install.

I live in NJ, and I found Hart's website pricing. The Vais costs $185 for installation, assuming that is without brake itself, right?

I would think that includes the brake.

I have a custom muzzle brake made by Joe Starnes (Longshot Rifles)

for $ 210 installed and includes caps. This works similar to the QD and tames my SAKOM995 .300 WM to that of .243's recoil.
