Muzzel brakes

How does one clean a gun with a brake on it. I would think you would need to remove the brake,if so wouldn't you need to tourqe it on to a spacific tightness to keep the zero and acuracy.

Which Vias Brake are you guy's talking about? The original Vias or the new Vias brake? the are 2 different designs made by 2 different companies.

Most go with the original Vais but both are very good. The expansion chamber style seem to be the most efficiant and cost effective.

You can buy $350-400 brakes but how much is hype and how much is facts especially when compared to the comparable $100-150 brakes. They all screw on tight, never had one shoot loose yet. Simple pin punch tightens and takes off any brake when cleaning.

Can you get away without wearing muffs and plugs on a big magnum? No. No matter which one.

Will they both cut recoil down to very managable levels? Yes.

So exactly what are you getting for the extra $200-250?

They will not make the gun shoot more accurately no matter what that BS mftr says! That is simple "quality loads tuned to that barrel" with or without a brake and it will make a difference.

To each his own and his wallet, but a lot of hype out there about a better and more expensive mousetrap, but do you want and need a 3x expensive mousetrap?
