Mule Deer Specialists...

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the outfitter "Mule Deer Specialists" out of Craig, Co? I'm looking to book a 2014 trip and was wondering if anyone here knows anything about them.

I don't have any experience with that particular outfitter. But, having lived and hunted there I can tell you that is an excellent area that produces huge mulies. You may already know that. That town pretty much exists because of coal and hunting. I know that doesn't help you much as far as the outfitter goes, but it might help to know that its a good place to get game.

Any info helps, thanks! I hunted elk out of Meeker a few years ago and had a great time. I've never used this outfitter and being from Memphis it's a LONG way to go not knowing anything about the outfitter. Any recommendations are welcome.

My dad's best friend did some guiding for them years ago so it must be a first class outfit.

I hunted there in October 2013 and I really enjoyed myself. There are tons of mule deer around Craig I even seen on walking down the sidewalk in town. Mike has some good parcels of private land with alfalfa fields. None of the bucks I seen were huge just nice deer. I ended up shooting a nice 4x4. If you want an enjoyable hunting experience with lots of deer I would definitely give mike a call but do it soon because he books up fast.
