Mounting Sling Studs and Flush Cups in Foam Core Stocks

Take a look at my post of this same title in the "GUNSMITHING" forum. Structural foam core stocks are becoming more common now with more hunters purchasing fiberglass and carbon fiber stocks.

These stocks are light, fairly strong and quiet BUT they require a special technique known in the ski industry as "potting" the hole for the stud or flush cup to keep it from pulling out under strain.
