Building a mountain rifle, tikka T3 light in
300wsm and have decided on the swarovski z3 3-10x42 thoughts?

Sounds like a good rig to me. I have a Z5 3.5-18x44BT. Great scope. Clear optics and under a pound. Put on a set of Talley one piece mounts and you should be good to go.

Great hunting scope. If you want to go even lighter, I recommend the leupold vx2 3-9x33 with cds turret and talley extra low light rings. My tikka 7mm08 is 7lb 11 oz with Harris bipod and scope. The scope is very bright and crisp. Only problem is that for a magnum the eye relief is pretty short and critical, not sure I'd want to use it on a .300 wsm.
