Montana fall black bear

Opener is tomorrow and I have zero doubt my buddy (my JRT) and I will be in plenty of white if we go for a hike. We got a a fair bit yesterday.

Either way it'll be fun to hike, look for tracks and sheds.

Good news, I was able to get my vacation switched around and will be there for fall season opener. Is there any sort of recreation pass or anything i will need on top of my hunting license to backpack out there?

So, how'd it go?

Saw lots of bear sign, mule deer, and grouse but no bears. Drew a controlled hunt tag for spring bears in idaho, hopefully better luck this time.
