Hello,
I just purchased a huge lot of bullets and it was not disclosed that they were moly coated. Question is has anyone ran moly coated bullets in AR style rifles? There are Barnes, Berger's, v max, spitzers, hp, all moly coated.

It's hard to clean, especially in something that runs hot all the time.
I personally wouldn't do it, unless I was going to run molly all the time.
You may be able to tumble it off the bullets.

I soaked a sample in acetone over night and didn't touch it I will try tumbler next, but until I have time they are just getting put on the shelf

I shoot only Moly coated bullets in my match ARs. Molly does not make them faster or more accurate but it does allow more rounds before cleaning and keeps your barrel cooler for longer strings of fire. I have been molly coating bullets for 25 years and there is no down side unless you get your gun wet and don't clean it. I don't let that happen anyway moly or no.
