Modifying a BDL Stock

I have kind of a strange little project I am thinking about taking on for myself. I may be buying a 700 BDL that I was thinking about rebarreling to a Sendero contour. I am thinking it would be a fun/time consuming/tidious little thing to try to take the original BDL stock, and get out some sand papers, and try to whittle it out to make a channel for a Sendero contour barrel. I think it would just kinda be a unique neat thing. Is this technically even possible? Is there enough stock left after getting it bored out?

It can be done. The stocks are the same on the old bdl varmint guns.

Interesting. Yes, I know that it would be a whole hoopla worth of work, but it's kinda intriguing to me. Be kinda cook to have a big old long heavy fluted barrel on that thing hahaha
