Have an opportunity to purchase a hi end scope. However it's metric one click equals .5 cm at 100 meters. does anybody use the metric scope and how hard of a Time did you have using metric when you used MOA your whole life?

Being metric isn't the issue with that scope.

Most metric scopes are graduated in 1cm per 100meter increments ( 0.1 Mil ). This scope is graduated in increments that are twice as fine ( 0.05 Mil ). It would be exactly like a scope graduated in 1/8 moa clicks rather than 1/4 moa.

Great for a benchrest type target scope, not so much for hunting. So, even if you were familiar with Mils, this would be more of a learning curve. You would have to get used to 1 Mil being 20 clicks rather than 10 clicks.

So why are groups always measured in MOA? Never see anyone post that their rifle shoots 0.2mil at 200yards...
In a word...Tradition.

The fact that MOA is close to an inch at 100 yards is a familiar, if inexact, "metric" for comparison.
