Mississippi has a runoff election coming up next week. Cindy Hyde-Smith has a proven record for supporting the 2nd Amendment. Her opponent, Mike Espy used to as well. But some recent information has come to light that may make Espy bad for us firearm owners

In a recent debate, he said the following

"Now I will say to you because of mass shootings and because of what's happened in the intervening years, my thinking in a way has evolved in this way. Number one, if you're on a no-fly list, if you can't even get on a plane, then you probably shouldn't own a gun without careful vetting. In the second way is that we need more vetting for that,"

So a couple of things on that statement. First the no-fly reference, there have been 3 year olds and members of Congress on the no-fly list. Nobody really knows how you get on the list or how you get off it. Do we really want a firearm purchasing system modeled after that? And second, how else has his thinking evolved?

According to the Clarion Ledger this is where Mike Espy stands; "Gun rights: A "moderate." Espy said, "I absolutely believe in the right to own and bear arms guaranteed by our forefathers," but said he supports "common sense limitations" in light of cases of mass shootings. He notes he won the NRA "Silver Rifle" award as a congressman."

"common sense limitations" I think we all know what that means, semi-auto bans etc.

Right now with the balance of power the way it is in the Senate (barely in our favor) and some of the individuals (like Mitt Romney) that are wishy-washy when it comes to our 2nd Amendment rights, we don't need moderates like Espy. We need someone that won't compromise our 2nd Amendment rights like Cindy Hyde-Smith.

If you live in Mississippi please get out and vote for the candidate that will truly support our right to bear arms. And get your friends and family to do the same.

Yes Georgia did, I was so relieved she lost. She actually advocated confiscation. We need to stay frosty until 2020

It's too bad AZ elected one of the worst anti firearm politicians too the Senate.

Arizona didn't elect her... The game was rigged by the Dems in states that bring the most electoral votes, and hold the most seats in the House and Senate to push their agenda. They're also thing to turn very pro-gun states into blue states, as their covert agenda to pass anti-gun legislation in those states, slowly crippling our 2A rights right under the unaware noses of the sheeple, so slowly, that it doesn't startle them, and they cause a panic and riot against them. That's how these criminals work. Don't give them an inch!

Notice how the Reps won, but slowly and surely, the Dems found more votes that pushed her over the edge. Same crap they tried to do in Florida.

As I understand it at least the AZ state house and Senate are controlled by Republicans and our side held the governor's seat. The problem with AZ is the flood of filth from California. It is slowly changing the demographic

Yeah, the liberals are running from their sh!th0le commie blue states, and running to red state, and then making them just like the sh!th0le places they left... Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

Exactly, they run from the conditions the created and voted for only to try to enact the same conditions where they run. Maybe we need a wall around normal states. Or just a wall/minefield around California to keep them in. I truly feel sorry for the small population in the peoples republik of Kalifornia that are like us. Everyday for them must be hell.

I know a few good folks out there in Cali, and they ARE like us... But they're all tired of their 2A rights being strangled more each year. Several are talking about moving to a "free state" when they either retire, or are already trying to figure out how to move their business to another state just to get the hell out of there before it goes full-on red-block commie socialist, and the government goes on a full gun-grab.

I agree, when we build the wall, just build it around Sothern Cali and LA and all those crapholes, and let that be part of mexico, then force all the libtards to move there from NorCal, Portland, and Seattle, too. LOL
