New to this LR ballistics game. What is your most accurate way to find it?
I have been pondering actually shooting paper at 5, 10, or 15 feet to get
a bullet hole to LOS that I could measure with a caliper?

Pull the bolt back and measure from firing pin hole to center of scope tube, or measure the distance between the scope tube and barrel, or scope tube and bolt, or scope tube and receiver and add half the diameter of each. This isn't a measurement that needs .xxx" accuracy, if you run various numbers through your ballistic calculator you'll see that.
