The inlet is for a straight taper varmint contour or a Remington varmint contour?

I'm guessing from the pictures it's a straight taper varmint.

It is more of a straight taper varmint. Reg rem varmint has about an 1/8" gap for about 2" at the taper and then fits with 1/16 gap the rest of the way down.

Could you measure the length from the recoil lug to the tip of the forend.
