What do you think about both the quality and the potential resale value of a McMillan rifle in .260 Remington? My thought is getting this one while I wait 6 months for a Hill Country Rifles .260 rem rifle made more to my personal specifications, then selling it.
I'm new to long-range shooting, and I'd appreciate some advice from you experienced folks. What do you think about both the quality and the potential resale value of a McMillan rifle in .260 Remington? The rifle is not their full custom job, but the features include a 22" shilen stainless match barrel, trigger job, trued threads & action face, Remington 700 action, aluminum pillar bedding & free floated barrel. I don't have $4,000 to spend, so thinking about this one at $1800. My thought is getting this one while I wait 6 months for a Hill Country Rifles .260 rem rifle made more to my personal specifications, then selling it. I'm a high school teacher with the summer off to reload and shoot, so waiting until school starts to get my new rifle kinda hurts. What do you think? Thanks in advance! - Ed
