maybe I put this question in the wrong spot

thanks for the reply's
I use those site alot. Hodgon has reloading info for the 175 smk if you use H1000 but not retumbo.
I got 5 different COL of the 175 i am going to try. and a set of 210 bergers at 3.745 with 91 grains of retumbo

we will see

OK keep in my this fairly new to me when it comes to long range reloading.
so if my loads were where pie size at 400 yards i was done. I am trying to get the most out of my savage weather warrior 116 in 300rum. it will slowly become my 1000 yard gun.
current loads are 210 begers with 89g retumbo at mag length 3.60 coal
I have tried varied coal but never keep records do to bad results.
this weekend 28deg 15mph head wind
with a hornady oal length gauge and 175 smk was 3.753 touching
1st load 175smk 3.744 coal with 100 g retumbo group .949 4 shots
2nd load 175 smk 3.732 coal with 100g retumbo group .363 3 shots 1 flyer to make it .901
3rd load 175 smk 3.705 coal with 100g retumbo group .704 4 shots
4th load 175 smk 3.625 coal with 100g retumbo group 1.487 4 shots
5 th load 210 bergers 3.743 coal 91g retumbo group 1.168 4 shots because thats all i had left. max coal length 3.794 is touch.

where should i start from? the 2nd load and play with charge? should i have set a group 10 or 20 thousandth into the lands?
