Matches in Oklahoma...

I am sure we have shooting matches here in Oklahoma, but I know absolutely nothing about where or when they take place. Nor, do I have any experience in comp matches.

I know there are several types of matches for several different types of shooting. What category I would fall in, I have no idea or for that matter which one I would even be interested. Can some of the folks here give me some info on where to start looking for info?

Also, can you folks give me some pointers on how it is best for me, a beginner, to get started and where to start as far as levels are concerned.

So's not to get my but literally handed to me on a silver platter by entering a match I have no business being in as a beginner.
