I have a March 2.5x25x52 SFP/MTR-3 that has been hunted heavily, subjected to the elements and bumped around on and ATV for about 5 years. My experiences concerning reliability and performance are quite comparable to yours. I have not experienced ANY issues. IMO, the stand-out feature of my March is its "unique" ability cut through low sun glare/haze, frequently encountered with my first/last light whitetail hunting. I understand that it is a combination of the internal tube coating and lense design.coatings. I recently acquired, and put a season of hunting on a ZCO420, desiring FFP and MIL capability, as well as seeking improved glass (particularly low light clarity/resolution. A bit bulkier due to the 36mm tube, and about a half a pound heavier being the physical differences, IMO, the basic spec difference(s), and the optical quality(superb!), for my requirements did square the cost between the ZCO and the March. I would add that I have rarely, if ever used more then 20X for my +1000 yard shots on game/varmints so my comparison of the two are at 20x magnification or less.
Overall, depending on one's particular requirements, I think either scope is an excellent value for the dollars spent, and will deliver the goods, and I expect to see continued heavy use of both scopes.

Thank you for the awesome review! Like Greyfox I have the March 2.5x25x52 MTR-3 and it has been a fantastic scope. It replaced a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 to shave a little weight on my main hunting and backpack rifle. I too backpack hunt the high peaks and wilderness country of Northern Ca. and my gear gets tested pretty hard. So far turrets are true and solid and RTZ has been perfect. Glass is pretty good as well. Thanks again, Jason

I usually keep my gun sighted in 1 click left of center to offset spin drift at long ranges. I posted a question on the Hide and pretty much got laughed off the board.Just left of bullseye, no spin drift to 500yds

. I mean if all you shot was ELR targets and needed to account for it every time anyways, you might as well just sight in dead center. I don't want to have to think about it personally.Very nice!! I love my F 3-24 also! Im slapping the FX right back where she belongs as soon as I get my updated rifle back!!
Great review and thanks for sharing. Sounds like you've got a keeper much to the dismay of the guy that wants to buy it!

HAHAHA. I am always toying and tinkering, but I think there will have to be a new scope released into the market before I make any changes!

I actually switched to MILS just because the FX fit what I wanted in a scope so closely. And I honestly like it a lot. No word on the MOA!
