Making 25-06 ai brass

Buy new .270 Win brass, run them through your full-length .25-06 AI die, then trim them the brass to 2.514". Chamfer & deburr the case necks. Then load up your brass, and seat the bullets up to the lands (press fit), then fire.

I use my varmint loads for 25-06 to reshape the brass. You can shoot many in a day and get double duty instead of shooting paper on a load you dont care about. 75 gr hornadys fly out of a long barreled 25-06ai.

Then i use the brass for my real hunting purposes.

Good quality Brass for 25-06 was in short supply when I had my 25-06 AI Built. I just bought some Sako 117 grain Factory Ammo and it formed perfectly. The Brass is good too. I now have 100 Nosler for when I re barrel in standard 25-06. The AI has been a little disappointing for me.
