The load came with the gun, I shot across my chrono to make chart. 93.0 gr H1000, 32 inch barrel. Showed 3110, 3116, 3109, 3111, 3108. I've only shot it those 5 times.

Not saying it's 100% just what my chrono showed.

It is a solid bottom, single shot action. I will be glad to take any pictures, measure, or whatever you guys need. I honestly don't know squat about Savage, I've always had Remy guns.

Savage target action (possibly just single shot action, see below posts), Timney trigger, 32in McGowan barrel with break, 34in total. Strait taper. Sitting in a Choate Tactical stock that is not bedded. Whidden bushing dies, 68 loaded rounds and 51 twice fired brass. 20moa rail unknown brand, gun is painted to look like GAP camo. 264 rounds fired. SCOPE, KID AND PODS NOT INCLUDED. I got this in a trade and only shot it 6 times. 1 sighter and 4 in 1 hole less than 3/4 outside to outside, 1 round shot the tack out holding paper target. Do not know twist but I can check it if needed. Current load is 300 Berger OTM @ 3110fps with load of H1000. Load data will be given to new owner.

This is not a light rifle, comes in around 13lb.

I have a 300 UM Christensen. 14 rounds thru gun. Just broke barrel in only. Just don't hunt anymore.

No. Sorry - I can't buy another 338. I'm a action snob. I have a brand new unfired 338Allen Mag with a 32" proof barrel for sale here. Will never be another like it. Going to build a 375 Cheytac. My next 338 will be on a long Bat action to shoot long Edge 300 SMK OR BERGERS rounds from a box and thru a 36" Lilja or Krieger on a custom chassis. Need to sell the Allen first. If your gun was on a Surgeon, Bat or Stiller type action I would probably have traded you the Christiansen.
