I like the looks of the 300 prc and I wouldn't be against it at all if I can find the rifle I want and that fits my needs.and I haven't be able to fine much load data but I may not be looking in the right place

Theres a good bit more data & info on Long range only.com for the 300 prc. There's several guys over there running the 300 prc and lots of debate that its no better than the 300 win mag. I'm not saying it is better than the 300 win mag either if the 300 win mag is throated with more freebore for the 215 berger. The 300 wm is probably better suited for the 215 than the prc if the WM is throated for the 215. The trouble i ran into with the 300 wm in a factory rifle was that it was stated on the mfg website as a 10 twist when i checked it as an 11 twist. A 208 eld done ok in it but was on the margin of being unstable. Plenty of folks have run the 215 in a 10 twist with success. I've run it in a 9.5 twist. If i had it to do over again, I would be running the 215 in a 9 twist.

Theres a 300 prc bergara premier barreled action on gunbroker for some where around $1000 +-. I do believe the muxzzle is threaded but I dont remember what contour. Maybe larger than what your looking for.

I think the Hornady manual has load data for the PRC and here as well there's a bunch of posts with data. Not like the 300 Win but plenty to get started for sure.

I bought one of these actions in 6.5PRC and it's a fantastic deal IMO.

How about browning x-bolt long range 300wm or 300prc both have 9 twist and are threaded from factory and both weight less than 8 lbs I have 4 of these and all shoot sub moa most closer to 1/2moa I don't thank you would be disappointed in either one

I have a Rem 300winmag PSS version but it is older. It shoots lights out and I can vouch for the older (15-20 years ago) if you can find one that has been very lightly used. I don't know about the recent version though.

And that rifle shoots 200 AB very well. Never loaded for heavier.

I've looked at the 308 ltr for a short light woods rifle

My LTR rifles in 308 and 223 shoot darn close to single hole groups with 168gr and 62-72gr respectively. And they are super handy in brush.

I've looked at theses as well.so the factory muzzle brake can be switched out on these unlike savages factory brakes

My suggestion (I have the HMR in 6.5 CM) would be to check the HMR in PRC 6.5. If you end up wanting to shoot long(er) ranges or long range you will be happy you did. And the Vortex 5x25x50 ffp moa, just works!
