hey guys... I came across this on the internet today. A really sad but suprising story. I had no idea that a muzzle loader could be deadly at 1.5miles!!! Just figured you guys may want to look at this.

I read the story, will be intrested to see what they conclude with the ballistic test. If its a normal black powder muzzleloader, shooting a 250 grain bullet at say 1950fps it would only have around 68 pounds of energy. Now not sure if thats enough to do what it did. But still a sad day for her and her family, and yet another reason to not discharge any fire arm in a unsafe direction.
