What would be a good low recoil long range round that is not a wildcat i can get in a factory rifle and between .257 and .284 caliber?

has anyone thrown around the idea of necking down a 7mm RUM to .264 i think it would be able to push 140 grainers around 3400 fps.

6br is the king of long range/low recoil.
It's smaller than you requested.
But, it's an incredible cartridge.
Savage chambers some very nice rifles in 6br.
Have a look at 6mmbr.com

i want it for a long range deer and antelope gun but if i ever do build a br gun it will be a 6mm br-dx

I don't know what you long range but my 25-06 has worked well for me to 600 yards. Very low recoil and outstanding accuracy from my cooper rifle. With berger bullets I've taken elk at 470 yards.

I want to use the new .264 127 grain barnes lrx and i want them to be hitting 1600 fps at 1000 yards or beyond
