I would prefer a 338 LMI of some variant; looking for experiences and hopefully a gunsmith (who will not take a year) and has a turn neck reamer in stock.

My current rifle is built on a BAT-HRPIC single shot, Bartlien barrel (29 in.) Mchale stock NF 5.5x22.

The current wildcat I have shoots good, but the labor involved to make brass cuts into too much shooting time.

I would like to push 300 gr. bullets at 3000 FPS.

Thanks,
John

Long Rifles Inc shows a 338 Lapua Improved on their reamer list. They will probably be as fast as you can find. I read on another site that their average turnaround time is 4 days.
