Have you tried wiping it down with alcohol and a rag?

Mine is getting there and I'm planning on wiping it down to get the sticky stuff off.

Just a thought lacquer thinner might remove all the coating for you. Also buddy of mine has one for sale! If interested let me know and I get his price

My friend has a carbon fiber one on GunBroker for 599.00 made by fierce it fits the 85 L with a very very minor modification easily done he used one on his 85L he bought two of them. He says to make an offer to me for the stock!!! thanks Tribb
