I'm starting to gather parts for a lightweight elk rifle build in 7mm PRC. I'm looking for a lightweight (the lighter the better) stock as I already have the barrel (CarbonSix Sendero profile) on order. It's a Bergara B14 action so I believe a Remington 700 footprint will work. It's a Long Action and I'm planning to use the Bergara BDL bottom metal to save weight, rather than a DBM. Hoping to find something under $500 or so. Anyone have a R700/LA/DBM/carbon barrel channel stock they want to sell? Thanks!

Yep, already looked at that as an option...hoping to shave a few more ounces if possible, but the price is certainly right. I've also looked at Stocky's carbon stocks but have no experience with them. I'd prefer a more vertical grip as well, but not a deal-breaker. Thanks!

Check out echlonrifles.com. I ended up buying the Proof posted on here (21 ounces) but having corresponded with these guys they say 15-17 ounces is a real completed stock figure for theirs.
That's super light, for sure...a little out of my price range at the moment, but under a pound is CRAZY light!

Great stock. Super Light. It is an M5 inlet but hawkins makes a BDL Floorplate that fits an M5 inlet.

Red Hawk Rifles still has HS Precision stocks at a discount, their sporter version with bedding block is a simple no brainer for a lighter weight stock. You'd get out for about 400$
