Here in PA we have a 3 week flintlock/archery season after Christmas. I'm looking for the most accurate available. I want something that will shoot up to 150yds. With enough accuracy and knockdown. We also have to use open sights, no scopes. I have been looking at the Lyman Plains Hunter & TC Hawken. Any others out there around the $500 range? Thanks

Been a while since you posted, but....have owned and hunted with both, have a custom I built now but out of the two I liked the Lyman the best. a far as shooting 150 yards......the round ball loses too much energy past about 80 to 90 yards to reliably kill. Unless you use a conical??
