I made shots today out to 1509 yds. After confirming drops early while the wind was calm I began shooting deer size rocks. What a blast! Reading the wind is fun when you get it right. I have a long way to go for first round hits beyond 900 yds. It never took me more than three rounds to make a hit. My BR2 range finder took a lot of work out of it. My next outing I plan on shooting beyond the mile mark.
GUN 338 EDGE 90 GR H-1000 300 GR BERGER HYB 1000 OFF LANDS
CANYON FROM DEFENSIVE EDGE
Shooting conditions were air temp 85 to 90
elevation 3600 ft TO 4600
wind 5 to 12 "maybe more at the target"
Maybe components will be easier to find soon. I'm gonna need more rounds.

Awesome. Wait... no picture of the rig?! I love looking at (drooling over) long range rigs. Post up a picture or point me to where I can see it if you already have it posted.
What optics are you running? How much magnification?

Those big 338s can really shine when you start running them long. Sounds like you had a great day.

i don't have a pic sorry will post when I take one.
It's a Defensive Edge Canyon rifle with a Nightforce 5.5- 22 NPR1.
I need to order some Beltram Brass Shaun says its worth it.
