I caught a bunch crossing a skidder trail in E TX a few years ago and popped a 125 lb sow at some where between 275 and 300 yards with a .270. I stepped it off but couldnt walk directly to it.
On the other hand the closest was a 175 lb boar at 6 feet with a recurve and a 2 bladed Timberwolf broadhead on a wood arrow.
