Looking for some suggestions. I want to learn how to stretch it out, primarily for alpine hunting.
If I'm confident at 1000 yds, then maybe an elk at 700 is a chipshot. I am looking for classroom and livefire training recommendations, wind doping, and maybe some equipment upgrade suggestions.
My current comfort range is 300yds with my 308, and ive never tested it past that, so not confident.
I live in Vancouver BC, and will travel for the right option.
I do not have a Gunwerks budget, but they offer courses. Also Rangetech...any feedback on these, or others in the Pacific northwest? Thx in Advance!

Best value in LR training that I've found is DR Long Range Concepts.

    www.drlongrangeconcepts.com

Really solid classes for very good prices. I think something like $600 for 3 days of training (if I remember correctly).

I've been thinking of trying a class from Barbour Creek Shooting Academy. It's an all inclusive offering for a reasonable price. They even supply the firearm and ammo.

I just took this class a few weeks ago. Highly recommend. 6 of us went down and took the level 1 long range course. Made hits on targets out to 1260 yards.

This one is on short notice. Georgia, Sept 28-29. Might be a way to get your toes wet and pick up the basics.
Anybody on here go last year?
