Oh man, I was shopping for some bullets and saw the accubond LR for sale but all out of stock. Gotta try those! I just got done swapping scopes on the 270 as the DMR wasn't going to stay on there permanently. One last change will be the McMillan game scout that's hopefully coming soon. Noticed that shooting prone was getting more and more uncomfortable with the sporter's swept grip but didn't want some honkin stock. Noticed something else... When trying to set the eye relief and mount and level the scope, front part of the EGW base extends far enough forward to limit the distance I can move the scope rearward without the objective touching. I moved up from standard to medium rings and that did help but i still have to crawl the stock a bit or back it off to 12 power to get it right. I guess it is a trade off huh? Either mount it high and get an adjustable cheek piece or deal with it being set a bit more forward than I'd prefer. As it sits there is about 4 business cards worth of clearance between the front of the base and the bell. I'd hate to go too close
