loading the 308 with 110 or 125 grain bullets

I have a Remington Model 78 that loves 125 gr. Sierra and IMR 4895, Shot 1/2 inch or less at 100yds. It seems this rifle has soft rifling and shoots better groups with 125 gr. bullets than 150 gr. to 180 gr. Heavier bullets do well to shoot 1" in this rifle.

My tikka shoots 130 ttsx and speer 130 hp to same poi. Nice being able to switch to a cheaper bullet to play

I put a Krieger barrel in 300WinMag on a Mosin Nagant.
The mule buck was running away when I shot him in the back with a 125 gr Nos Bal Tip bullet. He stood up on his hind legs for a Second and then keeled over.

I load 47.5 of varget behind 110 v max and shoot under a half inch at a hundred with a savage model 10. I put them 30 thousands off the lands and lightly crimp. They explode whatever they hit fyi. Gonna load some 125's this weekend and see how they do.
