My little brother Colin got his ND youth deer tonight. She was quartering away at 388 yards and i got him set up behind the 30/375 S.I. Impact velocity with the 215 berger was 2515 fps and impact energy was 3018 ft lbs. I told him to aim for the off side shoulder, and he did just that. After the shot she went about 60 yards and tipped over. The exit in the hide was roughly 3"x 2", there was a 4"x2" exit in the ribcage. About 2 feet of penetration. The entrance was .308 size. The liver was unidentifiable. Here are some pics.
