Here's my latest build from Gunsmith Gary Flachs Bench,

I wanted a lightweight 6.5 PRC that I could take sheep/deer hunting and as usual Gary didn't disappoint, we started with a Kimber Montana 8400 (wsm donor) it has a Titanium Bolt Handle and Trigger Guard, he trued and squared the action, lightened the trigger to 2.5lbs, and added a 23" #1 contour Fluted Benchmark 1-8 twist barrel,

Brown Gunkote on all metal surfaces and a beige coloured paint on the stock with multi coloured splatter and a palm swell added, on its own it weighs 5lbs 12.5oz, so with Talleys and a Leupold should come in at 6.75lbs

Im waiting for a Leupold 4.5-14x40 30mm ZL-CDS to come in the mail to put on it, so in the mean time I mounted a Zeiss 4-16x44 in some Talleys to get it shooting at the range.

I'm building a 6.5mm mildcat on a Zermatt TL3 stainless short action, cut for AICS magazines. Will be more or less a 6.5mm Creedmoor; just a little more than 0.25" longer. I calculate a 35% increase in case capacity over the Creedmoor. I estimate about $6000 spent by the time the first bullet flies. So happy I'm not married and have no kids...
