Lighter weight scope recommendations

A Leupold VX-6HD 3-18 or 4-24 would be pretty good options, around 20ish ounces. The Nightforce NX-8 2.5-20 is a good optic, comes in at 28 oz I believe. If you shop around, you can find a March 2.5-25x52, that is what I have on one of my rifles, and I love it. 25 oz, illuminated reticle, fantastic glass, tracking is awesome, ridiculous amount of elevation adjustment, and a nice compact form factor. On the higher end of your budget, but it is the top light weight hunting optic in my opinion, here it is on my 9 lb 338 nm

Second on the march! 2.5-25x42 comes in just under 22 oz. Other good options - swaro z6 under 20 oz for the 2-12 or the vx-6hd about 15 oz for the 2-12

I just mounted a march 2.5x25x52 on my 300 rum. The glass is awsome only gone shooting a couple times so far, but I'm pretty sure I will be buying another one some day.

Element Optics Nexus 5-20x50 comes in at 28oz and about $1500. FFP with some good reticle options that cater to precision but also have a larger center dot for hunting.

The new razor hd lht 3-15x42 is a great optic. 19oz locking elevation, covered windage, illuminated. Glass is pretty dang good. If you want ffp, mk5hd 3.6-18x44 is 25oz. A little know optic that I purchased for 700$ on a whim, the Hawke 4-20x50 frontier ffp 30mm, is a very good scope for the money. Very clear bright glass, locking windage and elevation, illuminated, compact and weighs 23oz.
