Light weight tents

Another Cimarron user here. Love the flexibility of Seek Outside tipis. I run a 1/2 nest in bug weather.

In cold weather, I run a Seek Outside SXL stove for larger wood. Palace for one, great for 2 with stove and gear.

A friend of mine has the seek outside courthouse...a little over 12lbs I think it is...I like the setup he has

I take a Jannu on solo trips where there's a risk that weather could ruin my life. I separate the poles from the main tent and pack the main tent down in an Exped waterproof compression bag. Makes it a lot more manageable space-wise.

I have a thing for tents that aren't afraid of snow: before this I had a Sierra Designs Tiros.

I'm looking at moving to a bivy/tarp for non-life-ruining times. But if I were going to invest in a tipi, I'd at least consider a HyperLite 4 person.

Those seek outside tipis look great. One of these days, I want to pick up an 8 man and a stove. Looks great for late season heated shelter. I like the look of the Cimmaron, but worry I wouldn't have space while occasionally taking along the whole family.
