Looking for advice on light weight spotting scope and tripods. I currently use a Kowa with an 88 mm objective, great optics but heavy. Thinking of the Zeiss with a 65mm objective. The outdoorsmans tripods look great, with good options but I thought there may be cheaper options that would perform as well.

put the swaro and leica vs. a Vortex razor and see if you can tell a huge difference.

Vortex are great optics for the money and have the best warranty in the business.

i put the vortex razor binos vs. the swaro EL's and couldn't tell a difference.

Does anyone have any experience with the Opticron MM3 series of compact scopes? I just ordered one yesterday. Light weight, ED glass, 60 mm objective should give reasonable low light performance. Think i will pt it on a Slik Pro II. This combo will come in an ounce north of 4 lbs if the listed specs are accurate.
