Light 270 rounds

Anybody shooting some of the lighter 270win bullets, I'm talking the 90-110 range. Kinda want to piddle around with some for a kinda varmint load or something. I am figuring if I could get 3200fps for a 110gr or maybe 3350-3400 with a 90gr, that would be a pretty cool varmint/tinkering gun. It would be a good way for me to have a gun to tinker with on a budget I guess. If you have any experience, velocities, powders, or pointers let me know. Thanks.

I shoot 90gr hp sierras out of my tikka t3 270 they are very accurate under 1/4 inch at 100yrd my load is 60gr AR2209 your equivalent H4350.
I couldnt load at sammi of 3.200 as I was on the lands at 3.180 so I set my oal at 3.170.
I also used 110 vmax with a mild load of 54.5gr of AR2209 for groups under 1/2 inch at 100yrd never did anymore testing with them since I used the sierras.
With the 90gr sierra load start a grain or two less just to be safe Im sure 62gr is a compressed load.

Just a note mrb those loads are with winchester brass and fed 210 LR primers.

I'm shooting Fed Brass CCI 200 primer with 60gr of IMR 4350 under a Speer 100gr HP (this is compressed so start lower) my OAL is 3.150. I'm getting 3450 fps out of a 22" barrel. This is a safe load in my gun but may not be in yours.

Cool. Thanks for the info guys. I am a fan of shooting the 130gr bullets for normal hunting purposes, but am kinda intrigued but some of these lighter loads for splattering varmints. Plus, for just shoot nothing larger than a deer, 100 or 110 gr wouldn't be much different than using a 243 as far as bullet/velocity go so that could be kinda fun. Who knows. hahaha Any other input is appreciated.

My goto varmint/predator load is 54.5 gr 4895 and the Sierra 90gr HP. MV = 3400. Great to 420 yds then the chute opens.

I like the 90 grain Sierra over 54.0 grains of Reloader 15. Never clocked the speed but it's about 5/8 inch at 100yds and still tight at 200yds. Same bullet with IMR 4350 gives the same accuracy. Got that load from an Ed Matunas article many, many years ago.

I have used Speer 100 gr HP with 57 to 58 gr of AR2209, Winchester primer in a Ruger M77 22" to get 1/2" group @ 100 yds - velocity est 3200 fps. These have worked well on goats out to 300 yds
I also use 130 gr Sierra spitzer with 51.5 - 52.0 gr AR2209, vel est 2800 fps to get 3/4" group @ 100 yds also good for goats out to 300 yds
I generally like to keep the charge lower when out in the field as I have had instances of high pressure shooting on 40 C degree days with ammo left in the sun, I also like to take note on how many times I reload the brass and toss after 5 reloads.

Dang, finally found the target 1/2 ream of paper deep in my targets. Last March I tried the 110 sierra and found 60 rl22 to be very accurate in my rifle with a rem 9 1/2 primer under it. .6" 3 shot group out of my marlin xl7 270. I haven't shot it in my tikka yet, as I've been playing with a couple of other bullets I got a deal on that were fussy. 54 grains h4350 was also good at .75" at 100 with the 110 sierra and the rem 9 1/2 primer.
