this is my first good scope any thing i should know before i start messing with it 1 ? each click is how much on this scope going to site in 12 more hours cant wait

I have the 57180 with Alumina lens caps.

It is one of the few scopes I own, where I have no complaints at all.

I also have a 55144 [40mm objective version] that serves me well.

I would buy more Leupold scopes, but their web site is impossible for me to find out anything.

With mine I had a problem with the eyepiece lockring coming loose. When that happens the eyepiece can move around, and so does the crosshairs. After it was loc-tited down, I haven't had any more problems.

Great scope. Wish I had more.

Leupold just updated their website! 100% improvement!

They have changed the web site.
It makes it faster to find out I will not get the information there.... [Is the scope usable for long range hunting?]
Less frustrating.

They need to matrix features and specs for all scopes and define their terms.
They need to show the focus marking and elevation adjustment markings.
They need to show the reticule with dimensions.
A guy is still better off searching for info about Leupold scopes at the SWFA website.

Clark, good looking stick. You don't see many falling blocks around here :)

Are those Burris XTR rings?

t

Yes. Those are Burris tactical.
That is a Tapco AR15 riser milled out on the bottom to fit the top of the #1.
