Leupold turrets- Which one to go with ??

Hey guys,

I have a friend that is wanting to get into some mid range work in the 500-600 yards max. He has a new VX 3 4.5-14 and wants to put 1 or 2 turrets on it and is unsure of which model of turret to go with.

What are your thoughts ? M1,2,3 ? And reasons for your decision. I would have thought the std M1 target turret, then again I have never used the 2 and 3 ? Is it a must to get the 2 turrets ? I personally would do that.

I'd put the M1 knobs on it. I just like the 1/4 MOA adj.

I put the standard target turrets on mine (1/4 moa). He can change either or both turrets but I don't see the point in not doing both.Good luck.

i have had leupold install both taget and m1 style. one time i had them install a elevation turrit only and a few years later i sent it back and had them install a windage. that little mistake cost me an extra 100 bucks. learn from my mistakes, eather m1 or target and do both turrits...

the 1/2 MOA of M2 turrets and 1 Moa of the M3 are to course in my opinion for what we want to do as long range hunters...

Go for the M1 turrets IMO.
