I've tried various manufacturer's instructions on ring height selection and its always a crap shoot it seems. I have a VX5HD 3-15X44 coming someday and ordered the Leupold medium QD rings. I'm mounting on a picatinny rail on top of a Rem 783 Varmint with bull barrel. Should I have gone low mounts?
