Leupold "matte" finish not consistent?

I have 3 Leupold scopes at the moment, 2 VX-3i and 1 VX-6, all "matte" finish. One of the VX-3i's has an obviously shinier/brighter finish. It's not gloss (box labeled matte like the other) but it's obviously brighter. WTH Anyone else notice this?

You almost can't put together a old classic bolt action without tracking down a purple Leupold to top it off! When I picture my father's rifles, that's what I see......

Baahaha Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten! I guess it could be worse..

I must have gotten a special gloss matte finish. I just can't insult a rifle with it but at least it ain't Leupold purple!
