I'm new on this site. I'v been reading other peoples posting for awhile. I'm planning on buying a mark 4 leupold and would like to know if they track back to zero when useing the clicks to shoot longrange 4x14x50 max 1000y
I have a Mark 4 8.5-25 I put it through the test a few times dialing around from 100, 300, 500 and 1000 and it returned to group exact every time. There are a lot of good scopes out there but It's hard to knock a Mark 4. I cant say enough good things about mine. Good solid scope.
Though not the genuine Mark 4 the turrets are. These M1 turrets are the best and are bomb proof having 1/4" clicks, 60 clicks to 1 revolution and more than 140moa adjustment.
I had an M1x16 modded Mark 4 abused for five years, it never missed a beat, now i have a VX3 with the Mark 4 turrets fitted, rest assured you could lay your life down on them. http://pic3.picturetrail.com/VOL15/728921/1243581/54613035.jpg
I dont know how the new mark4's are, but I have one of the older styles. The fixxed 10x with the M1 turrets and I also have a NXS scope and both the M1 and NXS are awesome. I have never had a problem with the M1 turrets finding there way back to -0-. The scope itself is bomb proof.
