Leupold "LR"

I have two Leupolds that say "LR" on the box, and on the scope
on the gold ring it says Long Range.
Couldn't find any elaboration on this designation on their website.

Just curious if anyone knows what this LR designation means.

I admit I have not called them, but for me it's tricky during
work hours.

FearNoWind, one of mine is a VX-3, the other a VX-3L,
neither is a Mk 4.

I think it means a 30mm tube vs. the 1" version.

'Long Range' on a VX3 means 30mm tube and side parallax focus.

What kind of reticle do they have in them?

One is Duplex, one is Varmint Hunters(VX-3L).

You should try retrofitting with one of the TS reticles as they are nice and only $160.

Question. I see in the Reticle section on Leupold that they refer to
their TS-X MOA reticles, plural, but of course they only show one.
TS-32X1 MOA.
Have you used this one by chance ?

I have 3 of the TS-32's and 1 TS-29. The 32's are installed in 6.5-20 scopes and the 29's are installed in 4.5-14 scopes. They are excellent reticles.
