Let see those deer rifles

Savage action, 270 Win Shilen barrel, Bell and Carlson stock. Simple, not very flashy, but very effective. My precision rifle is the same, but medallist stock and in 260. Shoots Federal Fusion like its match grade ammo. Scope is a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14x40.

Killed a buck this year with the 12th shot taken with the rifle.

tucked behind my deer is my main deer/ coyote gun, sako a7range in 6.5cm it's accurate and so pleasant to shoot it usually gets drug out lol straight factory too, I only bedded it

My current favorite is my Fierce Carbon Edge with a Swarovski X5i in 300 Win Mag. Perfect weight to be light to carry but have enough weight to hold steady. Very light recoil given the caliber. Shoots Hornady factory 200 gr eldx ammo at less than 1/2 MOA.

My gunsmith is almost finished with my rifle. I rebarreled my 7mm RUM to a 6.5 PRC. It has a 27" 1-8 Bartlein barrel in a sendero contour. Going to put a Timney or Triggertech and a muzzle brake, once it is done.

This past season I had a couple new toys and wanted to use them as much as possible.

The ATN X-Sight HD II 3x15 Day/Night scope and the Rebel Silencer SOS Hunter .30cal.

That was attached to a fairly tricked out AR...16" BCA SS 7.62x39 barrel, Osprey piston system, Young Manufacturering right side side charge upper...with a chassis trigger which I forget now which one it is (all 8 of my AR's have chassis triggers)...I have a battery pack on the stock to give me endless power to my scope too.

I am shooting Barnes 123gr TAC-X bullets with CFE-BLK powder...it will shoot into one hole at 100 yards. Hand loading for the 7.62x39 has totally changed my mind about the lethal properties of this chambering!

Wife took this doe with the rig.

Last hunt until turkey season I shot this hog with it. I confidently took deer out to almost 150 yards with this rig...between me and my wife we took 10pt WT, cull buck, 4 doe and 4 hogs!

But I will most likely hunt with my latest build which I just added the final piece this week.

Pretty sweet shooting rig to 600 yards

Safes are stuff with rifles capable of shots to 600 yards...300wm down to 6.5 Creedmoor...tough to just call one my go to deer rifle!

Remington Model 721
Weatherby Vanguard Series II
Both chambered in .270
Neither are fancy, but they sure are fun to shoot!
I have a 721 in .270. Great gun - no idea how many rounds it has seen, been in my safe and rarely out for 30 years. Took a doe w/it in 1998 and it was shooting sub moa w/130gr Nosler partitions. Great gun oozes PA/VA whitetail history.
