Thank You ButterBean , this is my old Winchester model 70 chambered in 223 Rem . . It's a right hand bolt but I shoot it left handed and work the bolt with my right hand that way I can stay on the rifle and not raise my head to chamber another round . I'm left handed any way . We have traveled a lot of miles together and killed more then just time .

Any chance of a follow up report on this rig's performance, has my full attention.

So busy right now, sorry for the late reply. No ladders yet. Only thing I've fired thru it was the 95 SMK right at 3000fps over 43 grs of 4831sc with my converted Lapua brass.

Good looking rifles. My calling AR is a DPMS Prairie Panther which I think is pretty much the same gun. Mine is in Mossy Oak Brush and I had a few upgrades done. I had the barrel lapped for better accuracy and a 2lb trigger put in at the local gunsmith. Both helped it to shoot well. It's still picky on ammo but what it likes shoots really well.

Lately this has been my go to. Home build with a criterion 8 twist, cmc 2.5lb trigger and pulsar thermion. 75gr Hornady bthp never disappoint.
