Len's Fall Color Photos of Current Colorado & Wyoming Trip

DAY 1

Yesterday's weather forecast was pretty grim but it turned out ok to my surprise.

I am near Ridgway, Colorado shooting up near the San Juan Mountains.

They had been having rain down in the valleys...but snow up at altitude.

These were shot mostly along rugged gravel roads.

Today was a rained out day of rest for me. These are all from yesterday.

Pretty sure the basin farthest to the left in the second picture is where I killed my ram a couple weeks ago. Mount sniffles on the right?

Very nice pics but I have always hated the term "at altitude" - everything has an altitude. Might be high, might be low, but everything is at some altitude - even Death Valley.
