I'm thinking of shooting the 175 grain controlled chaos out of my 300 win mag. I will be primarily be hunting whitetails with the gun. Anybody have any experience with them?

I think there are Much cheaper options that will work as well or better?
I have used 200Gr.Eld-X out of my 300 WM and they are good.
I do carry their Maximum Expansion in my .45 but I hope to never test them?

I do not have experience with them in that caliber but others. Also check out the sledge hammers. They do a number on whitetail.
