Lapua 30-06 brass for 6.5-06 AI?

Does / Has anyone made their 6.5-06 AI brass using 30-06 Lapua brass? What die were you using and how easy did it neck down? Was the addl. cost of Lapua worth it in terms of increased accuracy or life of brass?

I have done so.

I used a 280 to intermediately go down in two steps.

Life of brass is dependent upon a lot of things.

one of the main reasons I tend to use Lapua in general is uniformity of brass and necks when new.

When you neck down from 30-06 you will want to most likely turn the necks....

I am not sure that all told it is worth the extra.

I had pretty good life out of Federal 30-06 necked down as well.

However I do anneal regularly and as such, unless I get crazy hot loads, most brass may outlast my shooting tenure.
