Interested in primary options to look for in purchasing a Kestrel.
For those of you experienced with this device. What functions are you using the most. My primary use would to be gather real time environmental conditions.
I've had the same rifle, load and set up for 3 years and have a pretty thorough dope chart so don't necessarily need it for ballistic info. but could be useful. It's a couple of $100.00's jump in price.

Looking at the new 5000 series. What is real usability functions versus "neat-o" features.

4500AB. It is expensive and yes it has way more than I will ever use but I like it. Here is what I use. It has all the info and drop info for all my rifles. I can view any of these at any time. It gives me current weather conditions. Compass. It gives you current and average wind speed with firing solutions for each. It also gives you the most accurate firing solutions.
